Did you know that G Suite legacy free edition is coming to an end?

TLDR

G Suite legacy free edition ends June 27, 2022 (billing required by Aug 1). Consider migrating to Microsoft 365 to avoid new Google fees—offers 1TB starter storage, stronger Office app integration, compliance/security features, and Teams collaboration. We can help assess and migrate.

If you are a business customer who uses Google Workspace, it might be an idea to investigate migrating your data to Microsoft 365.

Google announced earlier this year that G Suite legacy free edition will no longer be available after June 27, 2022, and that accounts will be automatically transitioned to a paid Google Workspace subscription. You’ll need to set up Google Workspace billing before August 1, 2022.

We know organisations use Google because of its safety, familiarity and ease of use, but why pay for another subscription service when migrating your data to Mircosoft 365 could save you money and be as secure?

We’ve got some points to consider:

  • At the start, Microsoft 365 gives you 1TB of storage versus Google’s offers of 30GB. As you move up the scale Google fares better in terms of storage.
  • The great integration of Office Apps with Microsoft 365 Cloud Platform Services (Exchange Online, One Drive & SharePoint ) when Google doesn’t offer this option.
  • Microsoft 365 security features meet most required compliance regulations.
  • Microsoft Teams act as a central hub for collaboration, backed by the power of SharePoint and Microsoft’s Power Platform

The transition from Google to Office365 can be a large scary IT project, but with our help, you can make a well-informed decision if migrating is right for you.
