Exeter, Devon   |   Full-time, permanent

Salary between £11,240 per annum, Year 1

Closing date: 1 August 2024, with opportunities to start immediately

Why a career in technology and an apprenticeship in IT?

Technology is an essential part of our lives, both at home and at work, and a career in IT offers an excellent opportunity to enter a recognised profession. The apprenticeship route offers you an opportunity to learn as you earn. As an apprentice IT technician, you will focus on supporting businesses with their IT, acting as part of their outsourced IT team, helping with anything from end-user support, setting up new equipment and supporting their cloud-based systems such as Microsoft 365.

About us

We’re an Exeter-based technology and IT service business that supports hundreds of organisations and thousands of people. We are fast-growing, have an excellent reputation and have a best-in-class client and colleague retention rate.

Based out of our city-centre offices in Exeter and operating a modern, hybrid workplace, join a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) and work with companies with a handful of users, all the way up to large enterprise-sized businesses, educational organisations, and charities with thousands of users worldwide.

Whether you are about to leave school, already working in the technology sector or looking for a career change, this could be your chance to enter the technology industry with a supportive and fast-growing company.

We are looking for an Apprentice IT Technician to join the 2024 intake. The successful candidate will join 16 other members of the team who joined as apprentices and have successfully progressed through the company as we have grown.

Who are we looking for?

Hard-working, problem solvers who want a career in technology and that this opportunity sounds like it’s made for them. They will need to be great at working in a team, ultra-fast at picking new things up, not afraid (too much) of being out of their comfort zone and enjoy working with people, some of whom will be having a bad day because the technology they use, and we support is not working properly.

Why IT Champion

  • In addition to your Level 3 course at college, you will be enrolled on our Microsoft training program allowing you to achieve Microsoft Certifications as you progress.
  • Our unique tech bands mean that you will always know what your next step is, what you need to do to get there and how much you earn as your career progresses with us.
  • Join a highly supportive team where you will be working with people who are working through or have completed the same apprenticeship program as you.
  • Our continued growth means you can progress, branch into new areas of interest and earn and you learn and deliver.

Due to the nature of this role, we are unable to consider applicants unwilling or unable to work from our Exeter office.

We’re not your average IT Company and aren’t looking for average people to join the team. If you have what it takes to be an IT Champion, get in touch.

To apply for this role, complete our application form found on our Apprenticeships page: https://www.it-champion.co.uk/apprenticeships/

Successful candidates will receive an email asking them to interview 10 days after the application closing date. If you do not hear from us, it means that other applicants had a greater experience that met the role requirements. We encourage you to apply for any future roles that match your skill set, experience, and knowledge.
