With the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), Taylor Lewis was looking for a way to ensure all their data was encrypted and stored securely.

From initial concept and design through to the construction phase and total building management, they offer their clients temporary, interim and permanent solutions for their recruitment needs.
They work for clients directly, as well as for developers, main contractors and specialist subcontractors. Their aim is to support the build cycle, from the planning and designing stages through to construction and handover.
An IT Champion engineer worked with key stakeholders at Taylor Lewis to investigate how the business currently stored their data.
Following the investigation, IT Champion recommended that Taylor Lewis upgrade the operating systems of their PC’s from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and to utilise the built-in encryption tool BitLocker.
IT Champion arranged a suitable date to deploy the upgrades with Taylor Lewis, as the project would create disruption to the business. Two engineers attended site for a full day to upgrade and encrypt all devices. Taylor Lewis users now need to enter a BitLocker pin on their workstations before the operating system boots up, safeguarding their data and complying with GDPR guidelines.
