They commissioned an IT Champion senior systems engineer to design a topology for the new network and select the most appropriate hardware for the infrastructure.
East Devon District Council were looking to move from Sidmouth to offices in Honiton.
Strata needed to provision a new local area network infrastructure at the new offices, and they wanted to work with a local partner who could help design, supply and deploy the new network infrastructure with the Strata IT Team.
Strata partner with local government to help them achieve their goals. They do the hard work to understand, research, design, develop and support the tools that are needed, now and for the future.
They aspire to be an expert, resilient and sustainable IT service which supports day-to-day service delivery and the transformational aspirations of the local authorities they support.
Their core aims are to reduce overall costs of running the provision of councils’ IT systems, reduce the risks to the IT environment and increase the capability and capacity to deliver transformation using IT.
IT Champion supplied the network switches and the engineer configured and tested the new infrastructure before it was made live ahead of East Devon District Council’s deadline to move into the offices
The engineer selected to provision three stacks of three Dell N2000 switches with a 10Gb backbone between the stacks.
IT Champion supplied the network switches and the engineer configured and tested the new infrastructure before it was made live ahead of East Devon District Council’s deadline to move in to the offices.
The new local area network is fast, resilient and up to date, and it will allow the organisation to grow its user base if required. This project was delivered to a specified budget and it demonstrated how IT Champion can successfully work in partnership with other IT providers.
“After engaging with several local suppliers we chose IT Champion as not only were they competitive on price, but from start to finish the engagement with the company and its staff, along with the service delivered was excellent. Anthony Challice has a wealth of technical experience and knowledge but also the ability to engage and understand a customer’s requirements along with the ability to deliver them in an efficient, professional and detailed manner. The end result for us was a successful project completed on time and budget delivering everything we required.”
