Microsoft announce M365 licence price increase of up to 20%

TLDR

As of March 1, 2022 Microsoft may raise Microsoft 365 monthly-commitment prices by up to 20%. Customers who switch to annual commitment (still paid monthly) lock current pricing for the term, but have only 72 hours to amend or cancel an annual order. Contact your IT partner to switch.

Microsoft recently announced changes to its licencing models which will impact the cost of Microsoft 365 licences you may hold for your organisation.

As of March 1, 2022, M365 license holders will be facing a potential licence increase of up to 20% – if they remain on monthly commitment plans for their M365 licences. Customers who are willing to commit to an annual commitment (still pay monthly) will not see their prices increase for the term of the agreement.

A further change is that should an annual licence be purchased, you only have 72 hours to amend or cancel this order before being committed to the full 12-month duration.
